Teresa Giudice will discuss the financial fraud case that led to her 2015 imprisonment in a new season of Bravo's "The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th," she revealed to The Hollywood Reporter. The revelation comes as part of THR's cover story marking the 20th anniversary of the Real Housewives franchise, in which Giudice reflects on why she continued filming "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" while she and then-husband Joe Giudice faced a federal fraud investigation, saying she never anticipated the case would result in prison time.

Giudice and Joe were indicted in July 2013 on charges including bankruptcy, mail, wire and bank fraud, entering a plea deal in March 2014. She served 11 months in federal prison, with filming pausing during her sentence before resuming for the show's seventh season on the morning of her release. Joe served a 41-month sentence and was subsequently deported to Italy in 2019, after which the couple divorced in 2020; Giudice maintains she was made "an example" of due to her celebrity status and insists her only involvement was signing paperwork at a home refinancing closing.
