Rebecca Ferguson's Dune trilogy is reportedly performing strongly on Apple TV, with Collider highlighting the actress's continued involvement in the sci-fi saga despite her reduced role in later instalments. Ferguson previously left the Mission: Impossible franchise after learning her character, Ilsa Faust, would have a diminished part in the final two films, ultimately being killed off in Dead Reckoning; she has instead remained tied to Denis Villeneuve's critically acclaimed Dune series.

The first Dune film, released in 2021, survived Warner Bros.' controversial day-and-date HBO Max release strategy that saw many other titles underperform, going on to gross more than $400 million worldwide against a $165 million budget. Following a change in studio leadership, Dune: Part Two received a bigger theatrical push in 2024 and grossed over $700 million globally, cementing the franchise's commercial and critical success.
