Remi Wolf announces third album ‘Mud’: “I feel like I’ve crossed into a new phase of life”

Remi Wolf has announced her third studio album, 'Mud', due for release on 9 October via Island Records, as the follow-up to 2024's 'Big Ideas'. The Palo Alto-born singer-songwriter said the recording process helped her feel she had "crossed into a new phase of life", describing it as a cleansing experience after a period she likened to feeling "covered in shit".

The 11-track record will include previously released single 'Twiggy', debuted during a surprise appearance at Newport Folk Festival, with a further new song, 'Bottle', due out on 20 August. Sessions began in Nashville before moving to Big Bear, California, with longtime collaborator Jared Solomon and a group Wolf calls her "family band", before the album was finished at Electric Lady Studios in New York and in Joshua Tree. It follows her 2021 debut 'Juno' and 2024's 'Big Ideas', which NME awarded four stars.
