Reservoir signs publishing deal with Grammy-winning rapper T.I.
Reservoir Media has signed a publishing deal with the Grammy-winning rapper T.I., covering his entire catalogue of both past and future works. The agreement, announced on Thursday 9 July, encompasses his new album Kill the King, which debuted in the Top 10 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts. The deal adds one of hip-hop's most influential figures to Reservoir's roster and reinforces the independent company's ongoing push to expand its catalogue and reputation within the genre.
Known as a pioneer of Atlanta's trap movement and dubbed the "King of the South", T.I. has sold more than 14 million albums worldwide across 11 studio albums, over 100 singles and 13 mixtapes, alongside three Grammy wins and collaborations with the likes of Jay-Z, Rihanna and Justin Timberlake. The signing comes during a busy period for New York-headquartered Reservoir, which reported fiscal 2026 revenue of $175.7 million (up 11% year on year) and deployed around $120 million on acquisitions and advances during the year. It also follows a March proposal from shareholders Wesbild Inc. and Richmond Hill Investments to acquire the outstanding shares they do not own at $10.50 per share, as well as recent deals involving Hans Zimmer, PopArabia's acquisition of Viral Wave and a joint venture with TU Publishing.
