Retroid Pocket has unexpectedly added the Duo Lite Plus to its handheld console range, positioning it between the larger, more powerful Duo and the slimmer but less capable Duo Lite. The launch follows customer feedback, but has frustrated some Duo Lite buyers who ordered before the new model was announced.

The Duo Lite Plus combines the Duo Lite’s slimmer design with the Qualcomm Dragonwing Q-7790 processor used in the more expensive Duo. Pre-orders cost $219, or $199 with an early-bird discount, with shipping expected from mid-November. Retroid Pocket has paused Duo Lite shipments temporarily and is offering existing customers a free exchange, including covered shipping, or the option to keep their original order.
