Professional cricketer Luke Hollman survived a serious head injury after crashing his Lime Bike into a taxi window on London's Euston Road in a viral incident. The crash occurred when he was struck whilst on a day off and was propelled through the vehicle's back window without wearing a helmet, leaving him with a significant wound to his forehead. Despite the severity of the accident, Hollman made a remarkable recovery and went on to deliver an outstanding performance in Middlesex's One Day Cup semi-final against Durham, just weeks after the incident.

Mr Hollman sustained a five-inch laceration with part of his skull exposed, requiring 35 stitches in three layers to repair. He suffered a concussion but fortunately a CT scan ruled out any skull fracture. He returned to training just 17 days after the accident and scored an impressive 83 not out in the crucial semi-final match against Ben Stokes's Durham side. The incident left him with a prominent scar on his forehead, and he has subsequently adopted helmet use for cycling and encourages others to do the same.
