- It adds Unreal Engine 5 visuals and online play.
- The city-smashing fights are fun, but the game feels thin.

## Summary

A remaster of the 2002 kaiju brawler *Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee* has arrived on Switch 2, bringing the monster fights to a new generation of hardware. The review finds it an accessible, entertaining spectacle for fans, though its story and overall depth are limited.

Original developer Pipeworks and Atari have updated the game with Unreal Engine 5 visuals, online multiplayer and quality-of-life additions. Players choose from 12 monsters with distinct movesets and battle across city arenas using basic attacks, special abilities and destructible buildings. Modes include a three-difficulty Adventure campaign, Survival, Destruction and local or online multiplayer; the Vortaak invasion provides only a brief narrative frame.
