## Key points

- Rebuilt presentation makes the classic visual novel look and sound fresher.
- The story remains largely intact, but some scenes are shortened.
- The reviewer praises it while stopping short of calling it definitive.

## Summary

Steins;Gate Re:Boot brings the acclaimed time-travel visual novel back with rebuilt graphics, re-recorded voice work, a revised script and a refreshed interface. The review calls it an excellent, polished way to experience the story, while arguing it does not quite justify replacing the original or become the definitive version.

The remake follows college student Rintaro Okabe and his friends as an invention that sends emails to the past draws them into the consequences of time travel. It largely retains the original plot and memorable twists, but streamlines parts of the script, including the RaiNet tournament arc. A new Observer timeline helps track events, though it cannot zoom or jump to story branches; the reviewer also notes that the article text provided ends before describing all the new scenes.
