Guitarist and vocalist Richie Kotzen has released a new solo single, "Ivory Queen", accompanied by an official lyric video. The song is the latest in a steady stream of new material from the veteran musician, who continues to build his reputation as a prolific songwriter alongside his acclaimed guitar work.

Kotzen explained that "Ivory Queen" is not about a woman but serves as a metaphor for the pursuit of external validation and approval. The release follows "Catch A Star", another newly recorded song he issued digitally in May 2026. Since signing to Shrapnel Records in 1988, Kotzen has released more than 20 solo albums and gained international recognition through work with Poison and Mr. Big, co-founded The Winery Dogs in 2012, and currently performs alongside Iron Maiden's Adrian Smith in the duo Smith/Kotzen.
