Riley Green Uses His First In Button to Nab Uber Talented 15-Year-Old Singer on ‘The Voice’
On an episode of *The Voice*, 15-year-old Allie Rae impressed Riley Green, Kelly Clarkson and Queen Latifah with her Blind Audition of Alannah Myles’ “Black Velvet”. Green used his First In Button to secure Rae for his team, saying her distinctive performance showed she could stand out in the competition.
Clarkson heard echoes of Dolly Parton and Alison Krauss in Rae’s voice, while Queen Latifah praised how natural the performance felt. Rae said she takes inspiration from Chris Stapleton and Aretha Franklin, and told Green she felt special to have him as her coach. Clarkson joked that Green was “fine being a jackass” after he celebrated winning Rae over.
