Australian golfer Jessica Bang has died aged 18 after suffering a brain haemorrhage while preparing for a tournament in Thailand. Her death is a loss for Australian golf, where she had quickly emerged as a promising young professional.

Bang collapsed on 1 August and underwent emergency brain surgery in Bangkok before spending nearly two weeks in intensive care; she died on Thursday. She turned professional at the end of 2025, won a qualifying event in February with a final-round 65, and had recently secured a place for her WPGA Tour of Australasia rookie season.
