Road rage chaos as mystery man almost steals a ute while its driver confronted a couple

A confused road rage incident in South Brisbane saw a passer-by attempt to drive off in a stranger's ute while its owner was distracted arguing with another couple, with the entire chaotic scene captured on video. The clip shows the ute's driver confronting the pair over an apparent dispute, unaware that a separate man had climbed into his vehicle and was trying to steal it, only for the attempt to be thwarted before he could get away.

The footage quickly drew attention online for its bizarre, almost farcical sequence of events, with viewers struggling to piece together exactly how the situation escalated from a simple confrontation into an attempted opportunistic theft. Details on the identities of those involved, any injuries, or whether police have pressed charges were not confirmed in the available report.
