Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man Officially Returns With New Release
The Marvel Studios blockbuster Avengers: Endgame is returning to cinemas as Avengers Endgame: Encore, adding new footage that ties into the forthcoming Avengers: Doomsday. The 2019 original was the fourth Avengers instalment and the 22nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, wrapping up the "Infinity Saga" storyline that began with the Thanos snap in Avengers: Infinity War, and it remains one of the highest-grossing films ever released.
To mark the re-release, cinema chains including Regal will sell two collectible popcorn buckets themed around Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr.: a Mark 85 Helmet design and a Nano Gauntlet design, both sold with large popcorn from 24 September. Endgame originally grossed more than $2.7 billion worldwide and was widely acclaimed, and its re-release is anticipated to draw large audiences following record trailer viewing figures; Avengers Endgame: Encore opens in theatres on 25 September 2026.
