Grinspoon frontman Phil Jamieson has cancelled the remainder of his Australian solo tour after fracturing a vertebra in a fall onstage. He revealed on Instagram that he slipped and struck his spine on a drum riser during a gig on Friday, forcing him to stop the show and be taken to hospital by ambulance.

Tests confirmed a fracture to his L1 vertebra, and doctors have prescribed bed rest and a lengthy recovery, ruling out any further performances for now. The tour had begun in June and was due to run until mid-September. Despite the injury, Jamieson confirmed his new album, 10Charlie — his second solo record following 2022's Somebody Else — will still be released as planned on 14 August, and he thanked hospital staff and fans for their support.
