Roku has struck a deal with the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) to become the exclusive streaming home for a package of Sunday night matches, running from now through to the end of the 2027 season. It marks Roku's most high-profile live sports rights acquisition to date, building on other deals for X Games, Formula E and the Bassmaster fishing circuit, and reflects the growing commercial appeal of women's football as broadcasters compete for streaming audiences.

The first game under the new arrangement is the Seattle Reign against Houston Dash on 30 August. Roku will carry eight matches for the remainder of the current season and 25 Sunday fixtures throughout 2027, expanding an existing partnership that previously saw it host an "NWSL Zone" of highlights and replays. The agreement follows the league's recent termination of its contract with streaming service Victory+ over missed payments, and both Roku and NWSL executives said the deal aims to widen access to matches across US streaming households.
