Rory Scovel Sets New Netflix Comedy Special ‘Show Must Go On’
Comedian Rory Scovel has announced a new Netflix stand-up special, "Show Must Go On," set to premiere globally on Tuesday, 11 August 2026. It marks his return to the streamer for a new hour of comedy for the first time since his 2017 special "Rory Scovel Tries Stand-Up for the First Time," though details of the special's content have not yet been revealed.
The special was filmed at The Neptune in Seattle, Washington, and is directed by Scott Moran, with Scovel producing alongside Alex Bach and Daniel Powell of Irony Point, Molly Mandel and Matt Schuler. South Carolina-born Scovel has previously released specials including "The Charleston Special" (2015), "Live Without Fear" (2021) and "Religion, Sex, and a Few Things In Between" (2024) for Max, and has acting credits spanning HBO's "Rooster," Apple TV's "Physical" and Damien Chazelle's "Babylon," with upcoming appearances in an HBO Max comedy from Larry David and Jeff Schaffer and Amazon MGM's "Judgment Day."
