Deadline · 3 hours ago

Rosie O’Donnell has joined the producing team of Indigo, a musical about a non-speaking autistic teenager and her family, ahead of a planned London transfer in late 2027. Her involvement matters because she is a prominent autism advocate and says the show offers an unusually authentic portrayal of autism.

Indigo premiered at Curve Theatre in Leicester last year, and its London venue, dates and cast have not yet been confirmed. Written by Kait Kerrigan with music and lyrics by Scott Evan Davis, it follows three generations of women while also addressing Alzheimer’s, addiction and loss; neurodivergent artists have been involved throughout development, including performers playing Emma.
