Rosie O’Donnell said ABC rejected her proposal to feature eight Jeffrey Epstein survivors during her guest-hosting stint on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in August. She instead recorded a video with them for Instagram, where they sang “I Am Woman”, saying the project was intended to support the women and draw attention to child sexual abuse.

O’Donnell said the video was filmed in about two hours and published on 3 September, following her four guest-hosted episodes during the week of 17 August. She did not explain why ABC blocked the segment; the network has been involved in a dispute with the FCC over alleged threats to its broadcast licences, while Jimmy Kimmel recently moved another interview online after citing similar concerns.
