Rupert Lowe, who leads his own Restore Britain party, has called on Nigel Farage to set aside their past disputes and have Reform UK co-operate with his movement. The offer, made in a video posted to X over the weekend, comes despite months of public clashes between the two men and would require Reform UK to adopt several of Restore's more hardline policies. It matters because it signals a possible realignment on the British right, though Farage's lukewarm reply suggests he sees little need to formalise ties with Lowe's smaller outfit.

Lowe said co-operation could work if Reform adopted policies such as banning the burqa and halal meat and holding a referendum on the death penalty, and if Farage ruled out including former Conservative defectors like Robert Jenrick and Suella Braverman in any future Cabinet. He pointed to existing collaboration between the two parties on Norfolk County Council as a model for national co-operation, and noted Restore Britain's fourth-place finish with 8.7 per cent of the vote in the Greater Manchester mayoral by-election, where Reform came second on 21 per cent. Farage responded on X that Reform would always welcome disaffected voters but insisted only his party could deliver real change. Restore Britain was founded after Lowe was suspended from Reform last year over allegations, later dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service, that he had threatened then-chairman Zia Yusuf.
