## Summary

Police have confirmed that Russell Brand is under investigation over two further rape allegations, with files on both complainants submitted to prosecutors. The update follows his conviction for rape and three sexual assaults, after a jury found him guilty of four offences against four women.

The offences took place between 2004 and 2009, while Brand was working in entertainment; he was cleared of two other rape charges and one attempted indecent assault. He denied the charges, saying some encounters were consensual, and was remanded in custody after the judge said he faced a significant custodial term; sentencing is due on Monday.
