## Key points

- Police suspect at least 10 more women may have been attacked.
- Two further rape allegations are under investigation.
- Brand is due to be sentenced on Monday.

## Summary

Police believe at least 10 more women may have been attacked by Russell Brand, as the Metropolitan Police prepare to review reports and intelligence about potential victims. Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley said many more could come forward, though some information is second-hand and some women may be reluctant to enter the criminal justice system.

The Met says it is investigating two further rape allegations and has sent files to specialist prosecutors. Brand is due to be sentenced on Monday after being convicted of raping a woman in 2009 and sexually assaulting three others in separate incidents between 1999 and 2009. The case has renewed calls for judges to address rape myths in court, with the government saying it will consider proposals for stronger victim protections.
