Collider · 5 hours ago

Netflix has released the first four images from "Unabomber," a new true crime thriller starring Russell Crowe, and confirmed the film will begin streaming on 25 September 2026. The project is one of several high-profile releases keeping Crowe busy this year, alongside his passion project "Nuremberg" and the upcoming "Highlander" reboot, and marks a return to weightier dramatic territory after two lower-profile releases earlier in 2026.

The film traces the early life of Ted Kaczynski, following his path from a Harvard prodigy to one of America's most notorious domestic terrorists. Crowe is joined in the cast by Jacob Tremblay, Shailene Woodley and Annabelle Wallis, with a script by Sam Chalsen and Nelson Greaves and direction from Janus Metz. It follows a busy period for Crowe, whose "Nuremberg" grossed over $70 million globally and became a top-ten Netflix title after streaming, while he also recently starred in "Beast" and "The Get Out" and has been filming the "Highlander" reboot with Henry Cavill and Dave Bautista.
