Ukrainian drones have struck four warehouses belonging to Wildberries, Russia's largest online retailer, over the course of a few days, marking an expansion of Kyiv's long-range campaign beyond oil depots and refineries into retail logistics hubs. Ukraine says the sites were used to supply sanctioned components for drone production and navigation equipment to the Russian military, but the strikes have also hit ordinary small and medium-sized businesses that rely on the platform, bringing the war's economic impact home to Russian civilians nearly four and a half years after the full-scale invasion began.

The first attack hit warehouses at Elektrostal and Kotovsk, killing eight workers and destroying an estimated £750m of goods; further strikes followed on facilities in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk, with additional casualties reported. Wildberries and rival Ozon are used by up to 90% of Russia's economically active population, leaving many sellers, including small business owners, facing heavy losses. The Kremlin denies the platforms are used to supply the army, though items such as body armour and drone components are sold there; there is no independent confirmation the targeted warehouses stored military supplies. Russia has continued its own strikes on Ukrainian logistics sites, including postal, retail and confectionery warehouses.
