## Key points

- Both *One Mile* films top Paramount+’s US movie chart.
- Ryan Phillippe plays a father pursuing his kidnapped daughter.
- The two chapters were released 24 days ago.

## Summary

Both chapters of Ryan Phillippe’s action thriller *One Mile* are currently the top two films on Paramount+ in the US, an unusual case of a simultaneously released two-part story dominating the same chart. The streaming success gives the films renewed visibility as a back-to-back alternative for viewers seeking a *Taken*-style action story.

The films follow retired Special Forces operative Danny Beckett, played by Phillippe, who tries to reconnect with his daughter Alex on a camping trip before she is abducted. In *Chapter Two*, Alex is at university when the same group kidnaps her again, prompting Danny to pursue a final showdown. The article says both films were released 24 days earlier and cites FlixPatrol’s US Paramount+ rankings; it gives no viewing figures.
