Netflix is developing The Leftovers, a new reality series from Jersey Shore producer SallyAnn Salsano, centred on lifelong New Jersey friends preparing for the first wedding in their group. The programme will explore shifting relationships and the pressures of adulthood, adding to Netflix’s growing slate of ensemble reality shows.

Filming is planned across New Jersey, with an international wedding forming the main backdrop; the project remains in active development and has not yet been formally greenlit. Produced by Salsano’s 495 Productions, it was previously titled A Shore Thing and is unrelated to Jersey Shore, which ran for six MTV seasons from 2009 to 2012 and later returned as Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
