Sam Fender and Olivia Dean’s collaboration ‘Rein Me In’ has set a new record for the longest time spent at No. 1 on the UK singles chart, reaching 19 weeks at the top. The achievement surpasses Frankie Laine’s 1953 song ‘I Believe’, which held the previous record of 18 weeks for more than 70 years.

The song entered the chart in June 2025 and reached No. 1 in February 2026, accumulating its 19 weeks non-consecutively. Its run was interrupted by releases from Harry Styles, Olivia Rodrigo, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift; it also remained ahead of Shakira and Burna Boy’s World Cup anthem ‘Dai Dai’, while sitting at No. 69 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
