Sam Smith announces 2026 ‘To Be Free’ live residencies in Manchester and London
Sam Smith has announced a set of 2026 UK live residencies, titled "To Be Free", to be held in Manchester and London this autumn. The dates form part of a wider international run supporting the singer-songwriter's fifth studio album, 'Hazel Eyes', which is due for release on 21 August via Capitol. Tickets go on general sale at 10am BST on Friday 10 July, following a fan pre-sale the previous day.
In total, Smith will play 10 UK headline shows: two nights at Manchester's Albert Hall on 3 and 4 September, followed by eight concerts at the London Coliseum between 8 and 19 September. The UK dates follow shows in Mexico City and Guadalajara, as well as earlier residencies in Brooklyn and San Francisco. 'Hazel Eyes', a 12-track record previewed by the singles 'My Guy', 'To Be Free' and 'Love Is A Stillness', was made over three years with longtime collaborator Simon Aldred and features contributions from Feist and Shahzad Ismaily, with parts recorded at Electric Lady Studios. It follows 2023's 'Gloria', which NME praised as "the most vital work of [Smith's] career".
