Sammy Hagar has invited fellow former Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth to join his Las Vegas residency after Roth cancelled all but one of his scheduled 2026 shows. The invitation is notable because the two singers have long been linked through Van Halen’s history, and it signals a public gesture of support amid uncertainty over Roth’s touring plans.

Hagar said he and former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony hoped Roth was well, while acknowledging rumours that the cancellations could be related to health or ticket sales; Roth has given no official reason. Hagar’s Best of All Worlds Tour begins a Las Vegas run in August, and he suggested Roth could sing several songs or act as master of ceremonies in September; Roth is still due to play Sturgis, South Dakota, on 7 August.
