Samsung has now officially unveiled its new foldable and wearable line-up at its Galaxy Unpacked event, held in London on 22 July 2026, confirming the leaks that preceded the show. The headline reveal is the Galaxy Z Fold 8, which adopts a completely redesigned, shorter and wider form factor than its predecessor, alongside a new higher-end "Ultra" Fold model and an updated Galaxy Z Flip 8. Samsung also refreshed its smartwatch range and, with Google, introduced new smart glasses designs.

The Z Flip 8 is thinner and lighter than before, with a 6.9-inch inner AMOLED display, a 4.1-inch cover screen capable of running full apps, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage and a 4,300mAh battery. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, now priced at $699.99 ($50 more than before), gains an 800mAh battery — a 35% increase — while its case has become 12% thinner at 10.7mm; a new Galaxy Watch 9 was also announced. Separately, Samsung and Google revealed two additional smart glasses designs, made with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, featuring Google's Gemini AI and launching this autumn.
