Cinespia reunites Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman ahead of sequel

New detail has emerged alongside earlier coverage of Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman's surprise appearance at a Cinespia screening of Practical Magic: the original 1998 film will return to cinemas for one night only on 11 August, ahead of the sequel's release on 11 September. The pair surprised fans at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Saturday night, introducing new cast members Joey King and Maisie Williams and thanking supporters for helping get the long-awaited follow-up made.
Practical Magic 2 is set 25 years after the original and follows Bullock's character's two daughters, played by King and Williams, as they discover dark family secrets and confront a curse threatening the Owens family. Original stars Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing return, joined by newcomers Lee Pace, Xolo Maridueña and Solly McLeod, with Susanne Bier directing and Bullock and Kidman producing alongside original producer Denise Di Novi.
