Sasha Calle has joined Jamie Foxx in Amazon MGM Studios’ action film Deadlocked, taking a major role in the streaming project. The casting strengthens a film centred on a former Marine forced into a courthouse hostage crisis, and continues Calle’s run of prominent studio and streaming roles.

Directed by Nikhil Bhat and written by Eric Scot Anderson and Matt Takejiro Bosack, the film follows a grieving ex-Marine on jury duty when a defendant’s daughter seizes the courthouse to free her father. It is produced by Fred Berger, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Dave Caplan and Foxx; Calle recently appeared in Netflix’s The Rip and currently stars in Apple TV’s Sugar, with The Exorcist scheduled for release in March 2027.
