Saudi Arabia has launched Ceer, its first domestic carmaker, as a joint venture between the Public Investment Fund and Foxconn. The company is a key part of Vision 2030, aiming to diversify the economy beyond oil and develop local technological and manufacturing expertise.

Ceer unveiled two flagship electric vehicles, an SUV and a sedan, featuring distinctive falcon-style doors, electrochromatic glass and technology tailored to the Kingdom’s extreme climate. It plans to offer seven models, including hybrids, by 2030, initially focusing on Gulf markets; Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and over-the-air updates are expected at launch.
