Savannah Guthrie has issued a fresh public appeal for information after authorities released two alleged ransom notes connected to her mother Nancy’s disappearance. She urged anyone who recognises the handwriting or has noticed unusual behaviour to come forward, anonymously if necessary, saying the family is desperate for leads in the unresolved kidnapping investigation.

Nancy Guthrie was last seen on 31 January after being taken to her Tucson-area home. One note, sent the following day, demanded $4 million in bitcoin and said she was alive; another sent on 6 February claimed she died soon after being taken and was buried outdoors. The family is offering a $1 million reward, and the FBI has requested information from the public.
