Dell has discounted its XPS 13 laptop with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor to $999.99, down $400 from $1,399.99, as part of the retailer's Back to School Sale. The offer targets students, remote workers and frequent travellers seeking a lightweight, high-performance machine, and includes free delivery.

The 13-inch model weighs 2.6 pounds, measures 0.6 inches thick, and features a CNC aluminium chassis, glass trackpad and Gorilla Glass 3-protected display. This configuration comes with 32GB of non-upgradeable soldered memory and a 512GB SSD that can be upgraded later. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite (X1E-80-100) chip, which Dell says outperforms Intel's Core Ultra 7 155H while using less power, and battery life reportedly ranges from 15 to 25 hours per charge. Buyers can also pay an extra $200 for a 3K tandem OLED display, while connectivity includes two 40Gbps USB-C ports, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
