- The franchise’s future remains uncertain.

## Summary

A petition calling for the Mass Effect series to be saved has attracted more than 180,000 signatures within days of BioWare’s closure. The campaign reflects fans’ concern about the future of the science-fiction franchise following the studio’s shutdown.

The petition asks for Mass Effect to continue, though the article does not establish that a new owner or developer has committed to taking it on. Its rapid growth shows strong fan interest, but signatures alone do not guarantee the series will return.
