The 29th SCAD Savannah Film Festival will open with Anton Corbijn’s thriller *A Talent for Murder* on 24 October, followed by a Q&A with Helen Mirren. Mirren will receive the festival’s Legend of Entertainment Award, recognising a career spanning film, television and theatre.

The film stars Alden Ehrenreich as a young man sent to Switzerland to persuade Mirren’s celebrated author to complete a thriller series. The eight-day festival attracts more than 74,000 attendees annually and features films, competitions, documentaries, shorts, panels and workshops; further titles and honourees are expected to be announced soon.
