## Key points

- Johnstone Burgh face two cup ties on the same afternoon.
- The matches start 30 minutes apart, 65 miles apart.
- The club says its attempts to rearrange them failed.

## Summary

Johnstone Burgh have been left with two cup ties scheduled on the same day, forcing the Scottish fifth-tier club to find a way to cover both matches. The clash matters because the kick-offs are only 30 minutes apart and the venues are 65 miles apart, making it impossible for one squad to play both.

On Saturday, 21 November, Burgh are due to visit Tayport in the Scottish Communities Cup at 14:30 GMT and Dunipace in the Lowland League Cup at 15:00. The club says it tried rearranging league and cup fixtures, offering alternative days and times, and giving up its share of gate receipts, but no workable agreement was reached. Burgh won the Communities Cup two seasons ago and sit eighth in the Lowland League West; Dunipace are second bottom in the East, while Tayport play in the Midlands Premier League.
