The Hollywood Reporter · 1 hour ago

The second season of the *Scrubs* revival opens with J.D., Turk and Elliot confronting uncertainty as they take on greater leadership responsibilities at Sacred Heart. Their challenges include J.D.’s struggle to treat Dr Cox, Elliot questioning her next career step, and Turk doubting his surgical confidence and work-life balance; the season explores how they navigate these midlife concerns.

Showrunner Aseem Batra says the season will also give the interns more room to develop, despite having only 10 episodes, one more than the first season. The premiere balances its heavier themes with comedy and relationship storylines, including J.D.’s romance with Charlie and the developing relationship between Tosh and Asher. Batra also says viewers will get a glimpse of J.D. and Elliot as parents.

  • The leads face personal and professional doubts as they take on leadership roles.
  • Season two has 10 episodes and expands the interns’ stories.
  • Comedy and romance continue alongside the more serious themes.
