Netflix's four-part docuseries *Sean Combs: The Reckoning* has secured three nominations at the 2026 Emmy Awards, including one for best documentary or nonfiction series. The series, executive produced by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and directed by Alexandria Stapleton, was also recognised for outstanding directing and outstanding picture editing in the nonfiction category, marking a notable awards success for one of several projects chronicling the embattled rap mogul.

The four-hour series premiered in December and drew attention for exclusive footage of Combs preparing his legal team ahead of his high-profile 2025 trial, as well as interviews with his accusers, collaborators and, for the first time, two jurors who helped acquit him of federal charges. Combs remains in a New Jersey federal prison serving a 50-month sentence following a split verdict, and his lawyers are seeking to appeal on First Amendment grounds. He has had three months taken off his sentence, with a projected release date of 28 February 2028. The 78th Emmy Awards will be broadcast on NBC on Monday 14 September, with the Creative Arts Emmys held on 5 and 6 September.
