## Key points

- McVay says this season’s injuries exceed the Rams’ 2022 toll.
- Three Rams have suffered season-ending injuries since 18 October.
- Injuries across the roster threaten the team’s Super Bowl hopes.

## Summary

Sean McVay says the Los Angeles Rams’ injury toll this season has exceeded that of their injury-hit 2022 campaign. The losses are affecting all three phases of the team and threaten a season that began with Super Bowl ambitions, though the Rams are still trying to stay competitive.

Cornerback Jaylen Watson is the latest player ruled out for the season, with shoulder surgery, joining defensive tackle Poona Ford and kicker Blake Grupe, who have also suffered season-ending injuries since 18 October. Other players have dealt with injuries including knee surgery, a ruptured hamstring, groin and hand injuries, and lingering core and calf problems; in 2022, the Rams finished 5–12 after winning the Super Bowl.
