## Summary

The Seattle Seahawks beat the Kansas City Chiefs 20-3, ending a run of poor results and easing doubts about Sam Darnold’s place as starting quarterback. The result also offered an early indication of how two teams seen as potential Super Bowl contenders might match up.

Darnold threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Jaxson Smith-Njigba but also had an interception just before half-time. Seattle added a field goal in the third quarter and a 21-yard touchdown run in the fourth; Kansas City struggled to move the ball, while Harrison Butker missed kicks from 58 and 45 yards.
