## Summary

MEGADETH spoke with former MTV presenter Matt Pinfield at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles on 24 September, followed by a special performance. The discussion covered the band’s seventeenth studio album, their creative process and career, with an official video of the event now available.

The band said the self-titled album became their first to top the US Billboard 200 in early 2026, and described its reception as moving, especially as younger fans embraced both new and classic songs. Members said they had aimed for an organic, guitar-led sound and did not know the record would be their last when they began recording; the decision came after drummer Dirk Verbeuren had completed his parts and recording was under way.
