## Summary

Newly released police footage shows Russell Brand giving a brief response when questioned in July 2025 about a woman’s rape allegation, after an investigator read out her account. Brand said, “I have nothing further to add at this time”; the footage was released among police files following his conviction.

The woman alleged that Brand removed a condom before raping her and that she was later driven to Hampstead tube station. At Southwark Crown Court, Brand was found guilty of one count of rape and three of sexual assault, and acquitted of two other rape charges and attempted indecent assault. He denied the allegations and said his sexual encounters were consensual; sentencing is scheduled for 9 November.
