The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival announced winners of its co-production development awards during its industry programming. The main Eurimages award of €20,000 was presented to the Swedish-Danish film 'Selamlik', which chronicles a Syrian writer's attempt to reconnect with a former partner after years of separation due to conflict. Juries recognised the project for its resonance with experiences of displacement affecting many people globally.

Additional grants were distributed to Ukrainian production 'Reminiscence', which explores trauma and survival following armed conflict, and North Macedonia's 'They Bloom at Dawn', centring on environmental challenges and family bonds. The festival also honoured individual producers from Poland and the Czech Republic. The selected projects reflected the festival's emphasis on films addressing contemporary human experiences within current geopolitical and environmental contexts.
