Her lawyers describe the claims as “absurd” and legally deficient, arguing that Gomez should not have been included in the case because she had no role in the company’s fundraising or management.

The investors say they put nearly $1.2 million into Wondermind based on false promises and allege that Gomez failed to meet contractual duties to promote the business, contributing to financial difficulties. Gomez’s legal team, led by Mathew Rosengart, denies she could have committed fraud and says it may seek sanctions against the investors’ lawyers; a court would need to approve both the dismissal and any penalties.
