The Hollywood Reporter and Social Impact Fund unveiled an expanded lineup of entertainment industry speakers for their annual Social Impact Summit, taking place in Los Angeles on July 22. The event convenes celebrities, musicians, journalists and business leaders to promote and discuss charitable initiatives and philanthropic approaches to addressing social challenges. Emmy-nominated actress Sepideh Moafi will keynote the proceedings, anchoring the day's programming focused on how to lower barriers to impactful giving.

Several philanthropic organisations and individuals will be recognised at the summit. The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research receives the Organisation of the Year award, presented by actor Harrison Ford. Both musician John Mayer and the Currys are being honoured as Philanthropists of the Year—Mayer for his work supporting veterans and underserved communities, whilst the Currys are recognised for their foundation's initiatives improving food access, literacy and educational facilities in Oakland. Pharmaceutical company Gilead Sciences is also being honoured for its three-year corporate partnership with the summit.
