## Summary

Apple TV’s “Dark Matter” is presented as an under-recognised science-fiction series that combines alternate-universe intrigue with a focus on family and character. Its story follows physicist Jason Dessen, whose counterpart from another reality steals his life, while Jason tries to return to his family.

The series stars Joel Edgerton as both Jasons, with Jennifer Connelly’s Daniela taking a larger role in Season 2. The article highlights her emotional reunion with an alternate version of her stepfather and says the season ends with Daniela searching other worlds for her son Charlie, as Jason disables the universe-hopping boxes. A third season has not been confirmed.
