Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter announce new UK dates for 2026 winter ’50 Years Of Punk’ tour

NME · 1 hour ago

The Sex Pistols, now fronted by Frank Carter, have expanded their winter 2026 UK "50 Years Of Punk" tour with a batch of new dates, adding to shows already announced earlier this year. The tour marks 50 years since the band's original line-up played a series of legendary gigs in 1976, including at Manchester's Lesser Free Trade Hall, shows widely credited with inspiring bands such as Joy Division, The Smiths and The Fall.

New dates have been added at Leeds, Newcastle, Liverpool, Birmingham, Portsmouth and Bristol, joining previously announced shows in Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow and two London dates. The tour runs across December, opening in Leeds on the 4th and closing at London's Eventim Apollo on the 20th, with general sale tickets available from Friday 4 September at 10am BST. Carter joined the reformed Pistols in 2024, and guitarist Steve Jones praised his energy and rapport with the band, though he played down prospects of new material.
