Hulu thriller Furious, starring Emmy Rossum as former NYPD detective Alice Black, has reportedly led both Hulu and Disney+ streaming charts for three consecutive weeks. The eight-part series follows Alice’s pursuit of Catherine Grace, a young woman killing powerful men linked to a trafficking network, while examining institutional failures, trauma and revenge.

Created by Elizabeth Meriwether, the series reworks elements of the 1987 film Black Widow by shifting its focus from financial motives to alleged justice against sexual predators. It has a reported 98% Rotten Tomatoes score, with Lola Petticrew playing Catherine, Scoot McNairy as Alice’s partner Dan, and Quincy Tyler Bernstine as FBI sex-crimes chief Nora Washington.
