## Key points

- O’Neal teased Reese with her “too small” gesture.
- The exchange took place on the LSU sideline.
- The celebration has drawn repeated taunts since the WNBA Finals.

## Summary

Shaquille O’Neal playfully taunted former LSU basketball star Angel Reese with her “too small” celebration during LSU’s American football game against Alabama. The exchange, which Reese filmed on the sideline, continues a running joke about the gesture and comes as O’Neal has become a father figure to her.

LSU lost 31-13. Reese first used the celebration during Game 3 of the WNBA Finals, which the Golden State Valkyries won in seven games, beating their opponents 68-63 in Game 7; Gabby Williams scored 30 points. Other recent taunts have included Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg and former Warriors player Festus Ezeli. O’Neal played basketball at LSU from 1989 to 1992, while Reese played there from 2022 to 2024 before being drafted seventh overall by the Chicago Sky.
